Plymouth Hotels, Four in Town and 4 Miles from the Track

Every hotel, motel, B&B and rental house in Plymouth, with how far each one is from Mill Street and from the track.

Plymouth has four hotels and motels, from downtown Mill Street out to the east side, all within about 2 miles of downtown, plus a bed and breakfast up by the racetrack. Choosing between the Plymouth hotels mostly comes down to two questions: do you want to walk to dinner on Mill Street, and how close do you need to be to Road America, about 3.9 miles north of downtown?

This guide lists each property with its straight-line distance to downtown and to the track, so you can match the room to the trip. Distances are measured on the map, not by road, so the drive will be a little longer.

Hotels in town

The four in-town properties line up from Mill Street out along Eastern Avenue, Walton Drive and Highway 57, and each step east trades walkability for an easier run onto the highways.

Plymouth Suites Hotel at 606 East Mill Street is the downtown choice, about a third of a mile east of the town center and within 0.05 mile of the Cheese Capital arch. Its listing describes recently renovated suites, check-in without front-desk staff backed by phone support, a Keurig in the lobby and monthly rates for longer stays.

If you want to walk to a German supper, a pizza pub and a morning coffee, this is the one to book. Moxie, the coffee and wine cafe, is on Mill Street about 0.2 mile west, and the Plymouth Arts Center is within about 200 feet of the hotel. It is also about 3.9 miles south of Road America and about a third of a mile from the county fairgrounds on Fairview Drive.

AmericInn by Wyndham Plymouth at 1708 Eastern Avenue sits about a mile east of downtown and offers basic rooms, free Wi-Fi, breakfast and an indoor pool. Chester's Drive-In is about a tenth of a mile away on the same road, which settles the burger question on night one.

From the AmericInn, Road America is about 4.2 miles north and the fairgrounds are under half a mile away. Road America's own visitor information lists AmericInn Plymouth, Baymont and Route 57 Motor Court among the Plymouth lodging options.

Baymont by Wyndham Plymouth at 678 Walton Drive is about 1.8 miles east of downtown, with an indoor pool, a hot tub, a gym and meeting space. It is the pick for a group that needs a room to meet in and rooms to sleep in.

Sweet Basil, the Italian restaurant with the big patio, is on the same road, under a tenth of a mile from the Baymont. The Old Plank Road Trail trailhead is about half a mile from the hotel, so a morning ride or run toward Sheboygan starts close by.

Route 57 Motor Court Motel on Highway 57, about 2 miles east of downtown, has queen beds, private bathrooms, air conditioning and Wi-Fi across the property. Its listing mentions updated fixtures, flat-screen TVs with streaming, coffee and tea in the lobby and parking on site.

Roadside is about 200 feet from the motel on Highway 57 and serves breakfast, and the Old Plank Road trailhead is about 0.4 mile away. It is the farthest of the four from Road America, at about 5 miles.

Closest to Road America

Two B&B and rental-house options sit within a mile of the track, and both are better suited to a race weekend than a night in town.

Glacier Ridge Estate on Golf Course Road is a bed and breakfast about 0.7 mile northwest of Road America and about 4.6 miles north of downtown Plymouth. Its listing also offers asphalt parking for RVs and semi-trucks with electric and water hookups, which suits a team hauler or a motorhome.

The listing gives no phone number or website, so confirm it is taking guests before you plan around it. Rumors is about 0.7 mile away on Summit Road for a brisket dinner.

The Turn 3 Lodge on County Road J is a vacation rental home that its listing places directly on the track, with views from Turn 3 to the Sargento bridge. By the map it is about 0.9 mile south of Road America's listed location and about 3 miles north of downtown.

A house on the circuit is a group booking, so split it among a crew and treat it as the paddock-side alternative to a hotel. Road America also rents its own on-site cabins and a five-bedroom, 4.5-bath Chalet, according to its August 2026 lodging article.

If a tent or camper suits you better, Road America has more than 1,000 campsites across eight camping zones, and Plymouth Rock Campground is about 0.7 mile east of the track. Both are covered in detail under camping near Road America.

Booking a race weekend

For the big Road America weekends, book as soon as your dates are set. The track's own lodging advice, published in August 2026, says nearby hotels can fill well in advance and that availability close to the circuit can run short well before race weekend.

Road America sits about 3.5 miles north of the Highway 23 and Highway 67 interchange, which is why the track calls Plymouth convenient for visitors arriving from the south or west. The same article tells Plymouth guests to allow extra time on the road on race days.

The other option is Elkhart Lake, the resort village just north of the track, where The Osthoff Resort sits about 2.2 miles northwest of Road America and about 6 miles north of downtown Plymouth. Road America describes Elkhart Lake's lodging as limited compared with the crowds at its larger events, and says Plymouth has more conventional hotel rooms.

Sheboygan, about 13 miles east of Plymouth, has far more hotels again, which helps when everything nearer the track is booked.

Vacation rentals in Plymouth

Two rental houses in town give a group a kitchen and more room than a hotel.

The Woodsy Plymouth Hideaway, about a mile southeast of downtown, has an open-plan living room with a vintage fireplace, a record player and an Atari console, a garage game room with foosball, ping-pong and darts, and a deck with a hot tub. It is about 4.6 miles south of Road America.

The updated Plymouth home on the north side of town advertises itself as 5 miles from Road America; by the map it is about 1.2 miles north of downtown and about 2.8 miles south of the track. Both are booked through rental sites, so house rules, minimum stays and prices come from the booking page.

Which one fits your trip

For a weekend of walking, eating and the cheese shop, Plymouth Suites puts you on Mill Street. For a family with kids who want a pool, the AmericInn and the Baymont both list indoor pools, and the Baymont adds a hot tub and a gym. For a simple room near the highway and the bike trail, Route 57 Motor Court is the east-end choice.

For a race weekend with a trailer or a crew, start with Glacier Ridge Estate, The Turn 3 Lodge and the rental houses, then try the hotels in town.

Where to eat near your hotel

Staying downtown puts the Mill Street kitchens on foot: pizza at DeO's, barbecue at Big Billy's, Mexican at Pacifico and breakfast at Hub City. Staying on the east side, Eastern Avenue and Walton Drive have the drive-in, the custard stands, Las Brisas and Sweet Basil.

The full list, with fish fry nights and breakfast hours, is in the restaurants in Plymouth.

For an afternoon between check-in and dinner, the cheese arch, the Plymouth Arts Center and the parks are all among the things to do in Plymouth.
