Plymouth's mornings start on Mill Street and on Eastern Avenue. The coffee shops in Plymouth split three ways: a coffee and wine cafe and a donut bakery downtown, a pair of drive-thrus on the east side, and breakfast kitchens for eggs and pancakes. Add a sourdough microbakery with Thursday bake drops and a custom cake bakery near Road America, and the choice widens further.
Distances below are straight-line from downtown, measured from each listing's map pin.

Downtown on Mill Street
Two of the downtown coffee stops sit on the same stretch of East Mill Street, about 0.1 mile apart.
A short way east is the bakery that the chamber paired with a latte.
The chamber's 2023 roundup, written when the bakery was on Division Street, suggested a latte with a Long John, a caramel macchiato with a cruller and a dirty chai with a Pershing. The address has changed since then, so use the Mill Street one.
Hartman's is about 400 feet from Stayer Junior Park, where The Farm Playground and a dog park sit by the Mullet River, so a coffee and a donut can turn into a morning outside. G Scoops, listed at the same 433 East Mill address, sells sugar cookies and baked goods alongside its ice cream for later in the day.
For a sit-down breakfast downtown, Red Shorts Cafe at 210 East Mill Street has counter seats and tables, a shrimp, prosciutto and asparagus Benedict and pancakes, and is closed on Tuesdays. Hub City Restaurant at 409 East Mill serves breakfast seven days a week, with eggs cooked to order.
Drive-thru coffee on the east side
If you are driving through, the two chain coffee stops are out on the east side, between about 1.6 and 1.9 miles from downtown.
Scooter's Coffee at 2725 Eastern Avenue, about 1.6 miles east, is a drive-thru serving espresso drinks, smoothies and pastries, and the chamber noted in 2023 that you can order ahead in its app.
Biggby Coffee at 465 Walton Drive, about 1.9 miles east, serves specialty drinks, smoothies and baked goods, and the chamber described a drive-thru and a walk-up window. It is about a third of a mile from the Old Plank Road Trail's Plymouth trailhead, which makes it a stop before or after a ride.
Breakfast with your coffee
Two cafes on Eastern Avenue serve a full breakfast plate.
Lunch and dinner beyond these cafes run through Plymouth's restaurants, from Mill Street pizza to German fare at the Depot.
Bakeries for bread, cakes and Thursday sourdough
Some of Plymouth's other bakers work to order, so order ahead.
Closer in, South Street Bakehouse at 228 South Street, about half a mile southeast of downtown, is a bakery; its listing gives no menu, so check its own site for what is on the shelves.
Coffee near where you sleep
Plymouth Suites, the AmericInn, the Baymont and Route 57 Motor Court each have a coffee stop within about 0.7 mile. From Plymouth Suites downtown, Hartman's is about 0.1 mile away and Moxie about 0.2 mile.
Out on Eastern Avenue, Devour WI is about 500 feet from the AmericInn, and Scooter's is about 0.6 mile east of it. Biggby is about 0.2 mile from the Baymont and about 0.7 mile from Route 57 Motor Court. Those four are compared side by side among the hotels in Plymouth.
On a race weekend, campers at Plymouth Rock are about 0.7 mile from Bettersweet, a custom-order bakery for cakes, so for a morning cup head into town.
A cheese stop on the way out
Before you leave Mill Street, the Cheese Counter and Dairy Heritage Center at 133 East Mill sells Wisconsin cheeses and curds and makes grilled cheese sandwiches at its deli counter. Coffee in one hand and a bag of curds in the other is a fair way to start shopping in Plymouth.
Hours here come from listings and change with the seasons, so check before an early start. From there, a day in Plymouth can run from the cheese arch to Road America.
