Stunning restaurant setting and experience! We had the set lunch with was incredible. The service was attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. Special thanks to the sommelier who selected wines for each course. Thanks so much for a day to remember.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Had a really wonderful experience at Amura Restaurant. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm, stylish and welcoming. The service was attentive and professional without being intrusive, which made the whole experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. The food was beautifully presented, full of flavour, and clearly prepared with care. Every dish felt thoughtfully put together, and the overall dining experience was complemented perfectly by the atmosphere and hospitality. What stood out most was the attention to detail — from the service to the presentation and the quality of the food. It’s the kind of place where you can genuinely sit back, enjoy your meal and appreciate the experience. Definitely a restaurant I would recommend to anyone looking for good food, great hospitality and a memorable dining experience. I’ll certainly be back! 🍽️✨

This celebrity dinner contained some of the same dishes as that led solely by Alain Roux, but the new dishes from Angel Leon were incredibly exciting and different, really pushing the boundaries and having that wow effect. The evening started with a glass of vintage Dom Perignon and a new canapé, Sea Lettuce Tart Shell with Plankton Emulsion, Finger Lime, Costal Herbs. The pre starter of Hot and Cold Scallop introduced a little theatre and was sensational, picture does not reflect the incredible flavours. The waiter brings a cold water like liquid, and pours it over the scallop covered in kelp. Before your eyes the liquid forms salt crystals across the surface growing like white lava which is now warm to the touch with enough heat to just cook the scallop. The dish is taken away and returned with an oyster emulsion and citrus sauce. Fabulous. The next starter was equally delicious. Kelp Root, Marinera Sauce, Baby Almonds. This was followed by the lobster (crayfish) as the previous night but this one seemed softer and more buttery. One of Angel‘s signature dishes followed: Plankton Risotto. Perfectly cooked and tasting of the sea, quite unlike anything I have eaten. The main course was the Beef fillet as the previous evening but they graciously substituted for me at short notice, and I received some dry aged Sea Bass. The raspberry soufflé dessert was the same as the previous evening. Once again all the wines were of high quality and delightfully and attentively served by Lucian. A very special evening.

It was so good, I had to eat the plankton risotto for lunch again the next day. 10/10 for the Scallops & Plankton Risotto. Big thanks to Markus and the Somm Team for the amazing wines & service. If you're a foodie, you need to try this at least once in your life.

We recently dinned at Amura during our stay in Capetown and this was hands down our best dining experience during our stay. If you like sea food, and fine dining then don’t sleep on this! We ordered off the menu rather than did the trust the chef as there was so much we wanted to try! And all of it did not disappoint. The service was exceptional, and the atmosphere was wonderful. If I was ever in Capetown again I would be going back more than once! We spent R3400 for 7 starters, 1 shared main,1 vegetable dish, 2 desserts, 3 drinks each and tip. We thought the price was extremely reasonable for the quality, the presentation, flavours and experience - particularly Meares to other much lesser dining experiences we did for the same or much higher price point.
