I came here as a solo diner for lunch on a weekday, seated at the chef's counter. First the good, then bad. I booked the reservation the day before and the restaurant was pretty empty when I arrived with only a few diners. The 3 dishes and cocktail I had were all excellent. The risotto was my favorite, followed by the pork belly which was in a delicious broth. The pita that came with skewers was cold and not the softest pita. The service itself was also excellent with very friendly waitstaff. The only negative was the atmosphere. For context, I do frequently dine at restaurants alone and usually love sitting at the chef's counter but this experience was awkward. Since the place was slow and quiet, I just sat there while the owner and chef were terse with kitchen staff. Given how empty the restaurant was and since the kitchen was focused on food prep for dinner service, the restaurant should just seat solo diners at tables during these slow services. Solo diners: if the restaurant is empty, ask for a table.
