We had a wonderful fine dining experience here! Our servers were incredibly attentive and professional, and every single dish featured an impressive presentation. Most of the courses were deeply flavorful, with just one exception—the sashimi dish, where the sauce was unfortunately way too salty for our taste. Overall, a fantastic evening.

We booked The Waterside not realizing what an experience we were in for! This was not a “nice meal at a restaurant” but rather an unforgettable dining experience. The set menu was so fabulously executed by the chef through the culinary flavors, creative and fun presentation and the amazing service who were so very friendly and attentive. One person in our party had dairy / butter restrictions which were handled perfectly. As for price, an experience like this would have been 2x - 3x in the US, so we were very pleased. The 4 in our party agreed this was probably the best dining experience we’ve ever had and we are all very well traveled. Please go - you will be so glad you did. Thanks Waterside 😀

Stunning food and incredible service! If we’re back in Cape Town (which I very much hope to be) once of the first things I’ll do is book this restaurant again. The chef’s tasting menu was absolutely delicious - one of the best we’ve had. All the staff were so friendly and knowledgable - they knew so much about the food and wine on the menus and really made the evening special. An absolute must visit if you are in the area.

From the moment we set foot in this place we felt welcome. The staff was excellent and very helpful in picking a good wine for us. The food was excellent and full of flavor and creativity. One of the dishes that stood out was the tuna with ponzu, avocado and Thai broth, perfectly balanced and packed with so many flavors. I would definitely recommend this place.
