Had an amazing lunch with an amazing person. The food was exceptional, and the wine pairings took the whole experience to another level. If you visit, definitely trust their recommendations — every pairing was absolutely spot on. Such a special afternoon and an experience we’ll remember for a long time.

Exceptional! At times, storytelling can come at the cost of execution. Not here at Seebamboes, where the team manages to excel at both.
We wanted a meal to cap off our Cape Town visit that would express a strong sense of provenance. Seebamboes did not fail to deliver. Course after course, local ingredients shined through with truly inventive compositions. Highlights included:
-Saldanha oyster, dressed to compliment rather than overpower
-Whipped biltong, house crisps, sea lettuce dusting
-Picanha, mussels, squid ink aïoli, cured yolk, kelp salad--our favorite of the evening--wrapped into fresh pita
-Fallow deer "tagine" with curry sauce, kelp, pickled carrot, and heavenly house roti
Wine pairings were thoughtfully curated by a knowledgeable staff that shied away from upselling. My guess is most of these wines can't be found on the open market.
Thank you for helping make our honeymoon celebration so special. Your setting is intimate, warm and beautifully designed. Such a nice touch to give us a small jar of the Picanha spice as well so we can try to recreate this magic at home!

Super unique and complex flavour profile 👍 The best food I have had in Cape Town this year.
I will definitely go back again and again to experience the different seasonal menus.
However, we were celebrating our anniversary and asked if they could offer us a complimentary glass of sparkling wine, but they refused. They could have been a little more accommodating and made us feel more special, especially as it was our anniversary.

This restaurant had an incredibly creative tasting menu. Just about all the dishes were fantastic and worth ordering on their own (only exception for me was the ice cream sandwitch at the end). My friends who got the tasting menu said it was one of the best pairings they have ever had; each drink enhanced the dish (though they didnt enjoy most of the wines on their own).
As expected the atmoaphere and staff in place like this are both superb. This place is definktsly worth a visit if your a bit adventerous and would like to rreat yourself

It was a good experience. The service was excellent and very friendly, it's a lovely setting, they have an excellent and unusual wine list. The food was good but a bit variable. Some dishes were excellent, others were good. Both meat dishes I found quite tough. The food is reminiscent of Wolfgat but not at the same level.
