An amazing meal with top notch service. We had the Journey tasting. Almost all of the food was spectacular. The only tasting that fell flat was the final course which was Wagyu steak. Sadly it was Australia Wagyu. It was good but anyone who has had real Japanese Wagyu know the rest are just an overpriced piece of prime cut. My favorite tasting was probably the Nanatsuboshi Rice. So simple but the Dungeness crab really shined. The desert course was good but I’m not really a desert person. The only part to this meal that left a bad taste was the added “service fee to pay the cooks a livable wage”. So on top of the tip for servers now they add a tip for staff too. For the price of the dinner you can afford to pay your staff properly. Or just increase your prices so you don’t throw more fees in peoples faces. With tips expected everywhere these days this is just a little ridiculous to me. Not sure if I would go back but definitely glad we went at least once.
