The hotels in Brookfield gather around Brookfield Square on South Moorland Road and Bluemound Road, so choosing between them is less about location and more about what you want in the room: a pool, a hot breakfast, a kitchen or a ballroom downstairs. Four of the five covered below are within a mile of Brookfield Square, and the fifth is under 2 miles west.
Brookfield Square sits off I-94 at Moorland Road, and downtown Milwaukee is about 10 miles east. HotelsCombined counted 22 hotels in Brookfield in October 2026, and other chains it listed include Embassy Suites, DoubleTree, Hampton Inn, TownePlace Suites, Holiday Inn Express and Studio 6. Below, each hotel with what it offers, where it sits and who it suits.

Sheraton Milwaukee Brookfield: two pools, near the mall
The Sheraton sits about a third of a mile south of Brookfield Square at 375 South Moorland Road.
Its ballroom also appears among the Milwaukee wedding venues, and HotelsCombined showed a guest rating of 7.6 from 171 reviews in October 2026.
Holiday Inn Milwaukee-Brookfield: breakfast, a bar and an indoor pool
The Holiday Inn is the all-rounder on the strip, about three quarters of a mile south of Brookfield Square at 1005 South Moorland Road.
Country Inn & Suites: waffles and the Movie Tavern
Country Inn & Suites is the family pick, about a mile south of Brookfield Square at 1250 South Moorland Road.
Golfers get a bonus here: Brookfield Hills Golf Course, the 18-hole course built around par threes and fours, is under half a mile from the hotel, close enough for an early tee time before the family wakes up.
AmericInn by Wyndham: a refreshed budget stay on Bluemound
AmericInn sits on Bluemound Road rather than Moorland, about three quarters of a mile northwest of Brookfield Square at 16865 West Bluemound Road.
HotelsCombined showed AmericInn with a 7.3 guest rating from 727 reviews in October 2026, and listed a pool among its amenities.
Motel 6 Milwaukee Brookfield: kitchens and accessible rooms
Motel 6 is the budget option, about 1.9 miles west of Brookfield Square at 325 North Brookfield Road.
From there, Von Maur at The Corners is about 0.8 miles west.
Conference weekends and the Hilton Garden Inn
If you are in town for an event, start by checking what is booked at the Brookfield Conference Center. The Brookfield Conference Center at 325 South Moorland Road has five event spaces, including the 18,000-square-foot Connect Ballroom, and an attached 168-room Hilton Garden Inn, with free surface parking. It sits about a quarter mile south of Brookfield Square, and CBL Properties lists both the conference center and the Hilton Garden Inn as next door to the mall.
If your dates overlap a large event there, book early.
Two stays just outside town
If you would rather not sleep on a commercial strip, two other stays sit a few miles either side of Brookfield.
Forty Winks Inn at 11017 West Bluemound Road in Wauwatosa, about 3 miles east of Brookfield Square, is a relaxed motel with simple rooms, cable TV, free parking and a rustic lounge.
Going the other way, The Inn on Bluemound Road in Waukesha, about 4.4 miles west, is a vintage building furnished with antiques, run by an innkeeper named Kari, with an on-site cafe and antique store.
Parking and getting around
Brookfield is built for driving, and the five hotels covered here all sit within about 2 miles of Brookfield Square and its I-94 interchange at Moorland Road. Brookfield Square is off I-94 at Moorland Road, the conference center offers free surface parking, and The Corners parks its shoppers underground for free, according to Islands.
Islands also noted in 2026 that Wisconsin Coach Lines connects The Corners with downtown Milwaukee, which is worth knowing if you are staying for a game or a concert and would rather not drive back late. Distances in this guide are straight-line, measured from Brookfield Square except where another starting point is named, so allow extra for the road network.
For a night out without the car, the Sheraton is the closest of the five to the mall's restaurants and the Movie Tavern.
Which Brookfield hotel suits you
For a pool in summer, the Sheraton lists both an outdoor and an indoor pool, and none of the other four lists an outdoor one. For a family that wants breakfast included, Country Inn & Suites and the Holiday Inn list a free breakfast, and AmericInn lists a hot breakfast.
For an event at the conference center, the attached Hilton Garden Inn saves the drive, and the Sheraton is about a tenth of a mile away. For a long or budget stay, Motel 6 has rooms with kitchens.
Practical notes
For groceries, Trader Joe's on West Bluemound Road is about 2 miles east of Brookfield Square, and Metro Market on Capitol Drive opens from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily, according to its listing. HotelsCombined's October 2026 price check put January as Brookfield's cheapest month for a room and August as the most expensive, with Monday the cheapest night of the week and Friday the priciest.
Dinner is close: the restaurants around Brookfield Square are within a mile of four of these hotels. The August price peak lines up with the warmest stretch in Brookfield weather by month, and the rest of a Brookfield weekend is easy to fill from here.
