Seasonal rustic fare and cocktails in Wausau
First time eating here and can say I was not disappointed!! Food was delicious, staff were all excellent and very courteous, and we even go to eat in a private dining room without paying an additional fee! We had an issue with one of our drinks, and the staff fixed that issue and did not charge us an additional fee. Overall very impressed, would recommend to anyone!
Everything was 10/10! My partner and I came for our anniversary dinner and Van Acre so kindly gave us a card and offered dessert on them. Our server, Rob, gave fabulous recommendations. Will definitely be coming back! Pictured; Tropical Chicken, Margherita Pizza, Woodfired Brisket Queso
REALLY! Good! Food! Even better people! These people work their arses off to make a great experience for you. Be sure to visit Dawson at the bar and tip him well. He is a great bartender and excellent customer service representative. Any restaurant that has live plants at every table is a place that is run from the heart. Highly recommended!
Outstanding experience. Our server, Natalia, was fantastic from start to finish. I had the tropical chicken which was delicious. My wife had the doner and said it was delicious. We also both shared the grilled wings and they were also fantastic. Juicy and perfectly crisp. The chocolate cheesecake is among the best deserts I have ever had while dining out. Perfectly sweet and not overpowering. Only 2 minor complaints: a couple shakes less of seasoning on the wings and a little more marinade for the chicken. Very minor concerns as the meal was lovely and we had a wonderful time.
From start to finish, this dining experience was exceptional. My husband and I has a date night in one of the igloos last weekend and it felt like a winter wonderland. The igloo itself was high quality, warm, and cozy. We got our own bluetooth speaker inside so played our own playlist making it more special and intimate. We started with drinks, and every single one was spot-on: a perfectly balanced Old Fashioned, a rich and smooth Espresso Martini, and we shared a bottle of red wine that paired beautifully with our meal. The food... WOW...out of this world! Every dish was seasoned and cooked to absolute perfection. He had the Anugs Ribeye which was phenomenal! It was perfectly seared, savory, and tender. I had the Tomahawk Pork Chop, which I was told was a staple at Van Acre and I realized very quickly why. It was juicy, flavorful, and expertly cooked. The Doory County cherry glacé really put it over the top for me. We shared part of the "Farm" brick oven pizza, but had so much good food that we had to take the other part home. It was jam packed with high quality meats and cheese and I savored every bite. When we heated it up the next day we wished we had more ordered more! Our server alone would be a reason to come back! Marsha was extremely kind, and made us feel welcomed and well cared for. She was attentive and knowledgeable every step of the way. She is a true gem! Would highly recommend Van Acre. My husband and I keep saying how it is one of our best and most memorable dining experiences! We immediately booked another reservation in March so that we could bring our friends and family to have the same wonderful experience we did
