I went on Sunday on a whim. I was not disappointed. Great ground to walk around. I enjoyed it so much. I signed up for an annual membership.

A delightfully wonderful garden treasure in Wausau, Wisconsin. I saw the signage on my way South traveling through Wausau and decided to stop. The pathways are easy to walk. Bullfrogs could be heard in one of the ponds. Mergansers were swimming in another pond. Delightful gardens throughout. Please put Monk Gardens on your list of places to visit while in Wausau, Wisconsin.
Really cute place. We stopped to stretch our legs on our way to Rhinelander. Spent about an hour just enjoying the peacefulness it offered. Nice easy walks anyone can do. They have a nice variety of flowers and garden sculptures. Only cost was a donation.
Pleasantly surprised. Being that there's no entry fee, I was expecting a real small, quick in and out place, however, we spent over an hour and walked nearly 2 miles. Love the clean paths, variety of plants, wildlife and sculptures throughout. I have already recommended this to several others.
