Mountain winery perched on the Napa and Sonoma county line

About

Pride Mountain Vineyards is a mountain winery in St. Helena perched directly along Spring Mountain Road on the border between Napa and Sonoma counties. Our estate tastings and vineyard tours take visitors straight into our winemaking process, sharing the history of the property alongside pours of our cabernet and sangiovese. Guests can spend time out along the vines, relax on the veranda, or gather inside our sunroom. We are closed Tuesdays.

PMV is an absolutely beautiful destination, perched right on the county line between Sonoma and Napa. The setting is spectacular, and the wines are easily among some of the finest we’ve tasted in the US. Our wine guide, Mark, made the experience even more memorable. He was warm, friendly, and knowledgeable about the craftsmanship behind the wines. He answered all of our questions about different aspects of winemaking and shared fascinating insights into the winery’s rich British heritage, its journey to the United States, and how that history evolved into its own distinctive (in his words “instant gratification” 😂) identity. Between the stunning location, fine wines, and hospitality, PMV is well worth the trip. It’s only little over two-hour drive from SF and makes for a fantastic wine-country getaway. Highly recommended.

I can't say enough about our experience at Pride. From how helpful Annie was in planning something special for my husband to being greeted by name by someone who felt more friend than guide (thank you, Mark, for sharing such wonderful stories about yourself and the vineyard's history; for being so game to answer my many questions; and for remembering to bring out the sangiovese I'd mentioned while booking) to ending the tour in a private sunroom that felt set up just for us (complete with small snacks and glasses re-filled with our favorite wine), the 90 minutes at Pride was the best 90 minutes of our day in Napa and Sonoma. Nothing about our visit felt pretentious or rushed. Love and passion drive the organization and its people; you feel it in every interaction and taste it in the quality of the wine. And when we return - because we absolutely will - I'll save more time to soak in the little details that make Pride so special, like being able to walk right up to the vines and feel the weight of the grapes or lingering on the veranda to enjoy the view, flowers, and hummingbirds!

Thoroughly enjoyed Pride! The mountain is beautiful and it’s cool the winery sits on the Napa Sonoma border of the counties. The wines are so delicious and were our favorites of the trip. Marc was an excellent guide.

Another amazing visit to Pride Vineyards. Today was a Chardonnay wine tasting. See the 14 wines we tried below. So much fun and very educational at the same time. Pride also treated us to an exceptional lunch with Pride Cab Franc and Claret. Delicious as always! It is so appreciated that Pride offers these unique events to their members…Free of charge! Compared to other wineries charging $200-$300 per person for their events. A very special place.
