My husband and I chose Robert Mondavi Winery to celebrate our 2-year wedding anniversary and have our very first wine tasting. After doing a lot of research, we knew this was where we wanted to go—but unfortunately they were fully booked. I called and spoke with Sandra, who went above and beyond to make our visit possible by squeezing us into the Mondavi Table food and wine pairing experience. We are so grateful she did! From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was exceptional. We were welcomed with a glass of wine while we waited to be seated, and once our first course arrived, Jackson took the time to walk us through each wine, the history of the winery, the winemaking process, and the thoughtful pairings. He was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and attentive throughout the entire experience. Xavier was equally warm, helpful, and attentive, making us feel genuinely cared for from start to finish. What impressed us most wasn’t just the incredible food and wine—it was the people. Every team member worked together seamlessly, and the attention to detail was unlike anything we’ve experienced. Their hospitality immediately reminded us of Will Guidara’s concept of “Unreasonable Hospitality.” You could truly feel that every interaction was intentional and centered around creating an unforgettable guest experience. The food itself was phenomenal. The farm-to-table concept made the experience even more special—we enjoyed beautifully prepared dishes while overlooking the very garden where many of the ingredients were grown. Everything was exceptionally fresh and perfectly paired with the wines. After our tasting, we spent time strolling through the stunning newly remodeled property, which was the perfect way to end the afternoon. This was easily one of the best winery experiences we’ve ever had, and one of our favorite anniversary celebrations. Even if the food and wine hadn’t been as amazing as they were, the staff alone would have been enough to bring us back. Thank you, Sandra, Jackson, Xavier, and the entire Robert Mondavi team for making our anniversary so memorable. We can’t wait to return!

Did the pioneer tasting at Robert Mondavi yesterday, and it was well worth every penny. Fabulous wines, and the history behind the winery as well as the region was so fascinating to learn about alongside the wines. The staff is incredible and the renovated space is simply gorgeous. You also have the most incredible views while tasting. I highly recommend.

Beautifully redesigned tasting room and restaurant. And completely renovated production facility. Much more energy efficient and great use of natural light.

The new Robert Mondavi tasting room looks absolutely gorgeous built on sustainability, drought, resistant foliage, removing the concert lawn and bringing it back to nature gives it more serene sophisticated ambience. Now the tasting room is absolutely gorgeous. It's big expensive multiple options from indoor to outdoor. It's a great use of space. There used to be a tasting room option in the barrel room which is now I believe only for special events. The service was great from checking in with the host to getting seated, going through the rotations of the wines and having them explained to us with the history of the Mondavi wines, overall a great presentation. They have excellent white wines, but the real Takeaway is the To Kalone Vineyard wines. The 2023 were showing well but they're still young Titanic but good structure overall I particularly liked the 2018 reserve brands which was amazing wines very sophisticated structure well balanced, and expensive. I will definitely bring the wife back here instead of Billy to do the Food&Wine pairing. :) Thanks Billy for hanging out. It is our unofficial Yelp elite event (UYE). They currently do not have breadsticks but at some point, they may offer small bites Tapara along with your food. They were gracious enough to prepare something for us for today, but that wasn't part of the tasting so thank you for that Mondavi team. I do like the Membership options, especially for the two bottles every quarter customizable great member offering to come back for a complementary tasting so I'll definitely be looking at that becoming a member.

Founded in 1966, it played a major role in shaping modern American winemaking. The winery itself is beautiful, with a classic mission-style architecture that stands out immediately. The atmosphere feels more educational and cultural compared to other wineries — you’re not just tasting wine, you’re learning about it. The wines are excellent, especially their Cabernet Sauvignon. Grapes from the famous To Kalon Vineyard bring structure, depth, and balance. It’s a great place to understand what Napa wines are all about. The tasting experience is well organized, and the staff are knowledgeable and passionate. They explain the history, production process, and flavor profiles in a way that’s easy to follow. Compared to ultra-luxury wineries, this place feels more approachable while still maintaining high quality. ⚠️ Reservations are recommended, especially during peak seasons.
