Granddaughters and I had late lunch at Perkins today. Excellent all around. I had the jumbo fried shrimp with a dinner salad and baked potato. The salad was crisp fresh iceberg lettuce with chopped tomatoes, shredded cheese, Bermuda onion, croutons and delicious French dressing. Very filling. My baked potato was also delicious, skin was easy to cut through with my fork, potato was fresh tasting. By the time I finished my sides I barely had room for my meaty, crispy shrimp. I brought 3 of them home and ate them for dinner. My older grand had the grilled white fish and shrimp, with garlic seasoning, served on a mound of rice pilaf. It also came with 4 stalks of fresh asparagus. She said it was all very good, cleaned her plate except for 2stalks of asparagus, because she was full. We’ve eaten here several times over the past few months because the food quality has improved. Our server did a good job, no complaints there. They were very busy, mostly seniors, and I suspect they might be picking up some customers from the Menomonie Family Restaurant while it’s closed for repairs and updating, but wait staff and kitchen seemed to be keeping up with orders.
