I love the new location. The bar is ginormous but I disagree with the designers choice. They have what looks like windows with the frames pulled out of an old Catholic Church they were pulled off and stuck on the walls everywhere. Weird choice for a bar.
Nice, quiet zoo. No zoo keepers around, some of the habitats appeared dirty/dry during our visit but otherwise a pleasant place to visit. Love that it's free with a playground/park right on site.
A great little stop if you’re in the area and want to stretch your legs! This FREE zoo isn’t huge, but it’s well-kept and has 20+ animals—maybe more. We spent about 35 minutes walking through and really enjoyed the interactive water education area. It’s air-conditioned (which was a lifesaver in the nearly 100-degree heat) and full of fun, hands-on activities for kids, like buttons to make clouds rain and blockades to change water flow. We didn’t catch the bears due to the heat, but there was still plenty to see. Definitely worth a visit for a short, family-friendly outing.
