Our property, in operation year-round, features manicured lawns and gardens, fields, orchards, and a brook. We offer a country setting with a screened-in porch for relaxation. Visited my home state and wanted a place to show the personality that I remember. This was the prefect place. Mary quickly felt like family. The house was so so comfortable, clean and homey. Mary's breakfast were tasty and filling from bacon and eggs to fresh fruit and muffins. The price was totally reasonable and and the stay was worth every penny! Thank you Mary for a wonderful weekend home!

My husband and I stayed at Mary Stuart House this past summer, and it was delightful. Such a charming farmhouse with unique personality. It felt like being in a storybook. The breakfasts were delicious. Mary is an excellent cook! The gardens and grounds were also beautiful. If you're not looking for anything too luxurious, but instead a quaint, cozy, and homey place to stay when visiting northwest Connecticut, I highly recommend it!

I stayed here about a month ago and had such a fantastic time. Everyone was so kind and fun to talk to, especially Mary. The house itself is beautiful and old, lovingly kept with strong history. I love all the decorations and knickknacks, especially the old merry-go-round horses. The property and quaint surrounding town is also lovely. I saw so many wild daffodils around! Thank you Mary for being such a wonderful person and opening your home to friends and strangers alike. Much love, Maya.

Wonderful hospitality. Mary is a lovely, energetic owner who made us feel welcome and at home. She has lovingly updated and decorated her 1798 farmhouse! Great breakfast, but mostly Mary's lovely personality made our two night stay memorable. We stayed on the third floor which was a climb, but there are rooms on the other floors as well.
