Is this Michelin restaurant a must or Maass-ive fail? Dine Out Lauderdale is until the end September and select restaurants are offering multi course dinners that doesn’t break the wallet. One of them is @maass_ftl in the Four Seasons which offers a $35 Lunch or $60 3-Course, $95 5-Course, $155 7-Course Dinner. We opted for the 5 course and the first 3 tastings were memorable starting with Wellfleet Oyster, Foie Gras Nutter Butter, to the Yellow Fin Tuna Crudo. For the main course, we were looking forward to the Lamb Belly, however, they offered a Pork Schnitzel or Brioche Chicken instead which was a downgrade. I really felt this should’ve been communicated before we even placed the order. We were at the bar way before our reservation so there was plenty of time to let us know beforehand. In light of this situation, the GM was very apologetic and wasn’t our server’s fault. I just think the kitchen failed to inform the rest of the staff. So was it worth the experience? Yes we would definitely go back!

We started at the bar for Happy Hour, had some snacks and drinks and then left to go somewhere else. Ended up coming back without a reservation, and the team at Maass literally moved mountains to seat us on a busy Saturday night. Thank you for being so accommodating! We ended up sitting at a perfect table right in front of the kitchen. The food was incredible, so thoughtful and well-executed, and the wine selection was stellar. Andres was taking care of us, and he was an unbelievably gracious and polished host. We had the best time and will absolutely be back.

There are meals you remember because of the food. And then there are meals you remember because of how the entire experience made you feel. Seven courses. Seven wine pairings. And an incredible evening at the Michelin-starred restaurant, Maass, at Four Seasons Fort Lauderdale. The food was beautiful, thoughtful and genuinely memorable. The wine pairings made each course even better. But, as someone who has spent my entire career in hospitality, it’s the people I remember most. The entire team was exceptional, but our server, Nicole, deserves a special mention. There is such an art to truly great service. Knowing when to engage and when to pass by. Being incredibly knowledgeable without making the experience feel overly formal. Reading the table. Anticipating what we needed before we asked. Making something highly orchestrated feel completely effortless. Nicole did all of it. Seven courses is a long time to spend at a table, and she somehow made the evening feel both special and completely relaxed. That kind of hospitality is hard to teach, and even harder to fake. The Michelin star may get you through the door, but it’s the people who make you remember how you felt when you walk back out. What an experience. And what a beautiful reminder of why I love this industry much. *4% server wellness fee is automatically included on bill. When no one including managers could identify where it really went, we asked for it to be removed and they did without hesitation.

My boyfriend and I tried the dine out Fort Lauderdale seven course menu and it was phenomenal. Every dish was so delicious and I love tasting menus as it gives you the opportunity to try all kinds of items and some of the items on the menu that I was not sure about, ended up being my favorites! The service was great, and we were never waiting for water, a refill on drinks, etc. It’s a beautiful restaurant and right by the beach, which has beautiful views tableside. The open kitchen concept is also really cool and provides a little bit of entertainment while you dine. I think our favorite menu items were the Bolognese pasta which as incredibly interesting and the texture of the noodles were to die for and the corn chawanmushi which was so fresh and light. Overall, would return and highly recommend especially during dine out Fort Lauderdale as the price point is great.

Absolutely phenomenal from start to finish. Sara B. is the sweetest and best server I’ve ever had. She is super friendly and extremely professional. She made the whole experience so easy to understand from explaining the menu down to explaining every dish and their components. I can’t wait to come back. This is hands down the best food I’ve ever had in a restaurant on any level. Definitely coming back again to see Sara B. and try something new. The service here is on a different level and everyone on the team went above and beyond expectations. Thank you so much.
