Me and the pup took a day and explored the park and various hiking trails. It was awesome! Stunning fall colors! We drove through the campground and the sites are insane! Big - private - you are surrounded by nature. We explored paths next to the lake and did the Beaver Meadow loop! That was our highlight! The changing landscape is pretty spectacular. You are deep in the woods! Our only bummer was the deer tick situation. They were THICK! Make sure to protect yourself and your pets. I usually think about ticks in the Spring - failed to think about the risks this time of year.

Awesome park to camp! Tall trees help keep the site cozy and somewhat private. If you hike, great park trail system! Beautiful, easy, well maintained. Beach is a great resting spot. Bathrooms and showers are great and clean.

Stayed for the weekend in late August. Great experience, all park staff was welcoming, bathrooms and showers are one of the best I have seen, and the hiking trials were well maintained, although some areas are a little challenging to navigate. During my time here, the campsite was packed and full of friendly people while somehow I had the trails all to myself!

Loved camping here. The beach could use a bit of a cleanup of weeds. It's been hot and rainy though lately so perhaps difficult to get rakes out there. Lots of nice hiking trails. I liked seeing the butterfly garden as well. Being able to rent a kayak or canoe overnight for $30 was cool too. You get it from after 2pm till 10 am the next day. If you have your own boat they also have a boat landing.

Campsite was huge! ALL bathrooms and showers were extremely clean and newer. We hiked a few trails and they were very well kept. Definitely coming back here! We stayed at site 96!
