Langlade County Historical Museum is a museum in Antigo. We are dedicated to preserving and communicating the history of Langlade County, from Wisconsin Glaciation to the present day. We maintain a museum campus downtown along U.S. Route 45. Our campus includes a former Carnegie library that served as the towns public library from 1905 to 1997. We also feature a steam train locomotive and caboose from the early 1900s, plus the original 1878 log cabin of Antigos founder, Francis Deleglise. Our museum building hosts an extensive archive of local historical documents. This archive is open to the public, and our volunteers can assist with research and photo reproduction.
