Saronsberg Wine Cellar is a winery in Tulbagh in the Upper Breede River Valley. We provide tastings and direct cellar door sales of our bottlings, including our Rhône-style wines and Sauvignon Blanc, which visitors can enjoy alongside charcuterie and cheese boards. Our tasting area and grounds feature a dedicated art gallery and outdoor sculptures highlighting works by South African artists. The farm also includes open lawns, old oak trees, and a large reflecting pond framed by the surrounding mountains. In addition to day tastings, we offer self-catering cottage accommodation on the estate as well as facilities for private weddings and corporate conferences.

Amazing location to sit back and enjoy a great selection of wines. We stayed in one on their self catering cottages which were done up to a high standard and very well equipped. They even provided a complementary bottle of wine with the room.

We had a fantastic experience at Saronsberg Wine Estate. We opted for the Rhône Valley Journey wine tasting (R220), paired with a charcuterie board for two – and it was absolutely amazing. The selection on the board was superb, especially the goat’s cheese, onion marmalade, and brie, which were all incredibly flavourful and perfectly paired with the wines. The setting of the farm is simply breathtaking – the perfect place to relax, unwind, and soak in the beautiful mountain views during a leisurely afternoon. It truly feels like a destination where you can linger and enjoy every moment. Our waitress, Merilda, was exceptional – extremely knowledgeable about both the wines and the farm, and she shared great insight into the region as well. Her passion and expertise really enhanced the overall experience. Everything exceeded our expectations, and we would highly recommend a visit to Saronsberg for anyone looking for a memorable wine-tasting experience.

We have not been able to drive through Tulbagh without stopping at Saronsberg. We will drive from Cape Town to soend the day here. Breathtaking place, great service, beautiful wines & tasty platters! Highly recommend
