What an experience it was. The food was absolutely delicious, the staff was so warm and friendly and the scenery was breathtaking. The desert deserves a special mention. And the wine....overall 10/10 experience.

There aren't enough positive words to properly express how incredible our experience at Vuur was! From the moment we arrived to the last hugs goodbye (almost 5 hours later) we were absolutely mind blown by the atmosphere, the warm service, the attention to detail, the out of this world food, and the overall vibe! I could write a book! As a Canadian who just moved to SA, I feel like I got to be so fully immersed into this culture through the food, the wine, the conversation, the stories... what a gift!! And we even got to meet & chat w the chef/owner! 11/10 recommend! Just make sure you don't have dinner plans afterwards, you won't need food for a long while 😆 Thank you again to the whole team! P.s. to have this experience in Canada, you'd have to pay 4x the price!!! Oh and... they even accommodated us with our no seed oil request. As I said... I could write a book ✨

There is a profound reason why Vuur holds its rightful place among the Top 101 Best Steak Restaurants in the world, because it absolutely deserves it. Nestled at Remhoogte Wine Estate in Stellenbosch, this breathtaking setting is the perfect backdrop for what is, without question, the most memorable dining experience I have ever had. Chef Shaun Scrooby's open-fire concept elevates every course into an elegant culinary story. The steak is nothing short of superb, perfectly marbled, melt-in-your-mouth, and seasoned to perfection, brilliantly complemented by a flawless wine pairing. But what truly sets Vuur apart is the warmth and passion of the wonderful staff, who make every guest feel like an honored guest rather than a patron. We cannot stop talking about our experience and the incredible people we met. This dining concept will be the new standard, 100%. Thank you to the entire Vuur team, absolutely unforgettable. Special thanks to Rob, Leroy & Stefan, ALL the staff were exceptional thank you all so much.

Very awesome, found them on the "101 best steak restaurants" website during the planning phase of our South-Afrika trip. It was a little detour in our trip but 100% worth it. Nothing is to much for them. If I come back to SA I would definitely come back. The seating was cosy with open kitchen and you sit with people you do not know so your social side has to do some work 😅
