Lovely space to chill under the ancient trees. Bring your own chairs and blankets and the Picknickery shop has a selection of salads, meats, cheeses, sandwiches that are all pretty decent if a little pricey. They were low on some stock, but what they had was delicious. Good coffee and drinks selection. Plenty of kids and families and some flying rugby balls, but all part of the vibe. Spier Estate is not dog friendly...

We visited The Spier Picnickery for a kids' birthday party and were really impressed. The picnic area, just like the rest of the estate, is beautiful and has a relaxing atmosphere. There is a massive lawn area with trees spread around providing more than enough space for everyone to have a good time. They also have a small elemental play garden area with things to keep the little ones entertained, making it a great place to visit with kids. As the picnic area is so large, it is also good for friend meetups or even dates. Since we arrived early for the party, I especially appreciated the coffee station for a fresh brew. If you are planning on having a picnic, they have a shop nearby where you can purchase your picnic items, including beer and wine. Some of the other parents mentioned that outside food isn't allowed, though I can't confirm this myself. As we were mostly focused on the kids, I didn't really have enough time to explore, but I definitely plan on doing so in the future.

We had the perfect outdoor picnic setup next to pond. Their charcuterie board feature sliced cured meats,salami, prosciutto, various cheeses, brie, aged cheese, mixed olives and a hummus spread! The on-site gift shop had plenty options to explore

We recently visited Spier Picnickery, a beautiful picnic area alongside the Eerste River. Nestled amidst lush greenery, the spot offers a perfect blend of nature's beauty and a peaceful ambiance. The garden is meticulously maintained, with vibrant flower beds, shaded spots under leafy trees, and a few well-placed benches that add to its relaxing vibe. Well stocked shop and great coffee.
