Upmarket winery lodging with six swimming pools
This is the second time staying at Spier, but the first time since they remodeled, and wow, what an amazing update. The luxury room was very large, comfortable, clean and the bathroom was very spacious. Breakfast offered a lot of buffet options and a menu to order prepared foods. We had drinks and dinner on site the last night of our stay, and the preparation, quality and value were outstanding.
What a beautiful place. The hotel is beautiful and fully renovated. The vineyard grounds are open to guests and are stunning. The staff of the hotel, regardless of which role, is exemplary; super friendly and attentive and catering to every need. The food at Veld restaurant is delicious and the setting of the restaurant(s) is very cozy. The rooms are spacious and beautiful as well. We are very much looking forward to our next visit!
Absolutely fabulous. Welcoming staff everywhere. Super accommodation and well appointed. Great food at Veld, Rooftop Bar and Vadas. Thoroughly enjoyed the spa treatment as well. Good selection of walks and the Segway trip was interesting
Absolutely Outstanding – An Event Organiser’s Dream! We recently stayed at Spier Hotel for a 2-night conference with a group of 25 people, and I honestly cannot rave enough about the experience. From start to finish, the service was top tier. Every single staff member we interacted with was warm, professional, and genuinely invested in making our stay exceptional. The Yellowwood Room conference facility is absolutely world-class – beautifully set up, well-equipped, and a pleasure to host a conference in. What truly made this event so special, though, was the incredible Spier team behind the scenes. They made the entire planning and execution process feel effortless, allowing me to deliver an outstanding experience for my team with total confidence. Any event organiser will know how rare (and valuable!) this is. The Segway experience was another standout highlight – the team running it is next level and added such a fun, memorable element to our programme. A special shoutout to Sanchia, who was an absolute dream to work with. Her support, attention to detail, and proactive assistance made everything seamless. Thanks to her and the wider team, not only am I super happy, but my entire team left feeling inspired, spoiled, and extremely impressed. If you’re looking for a venue that delivers excellence, ease, and unforgettable experiences – Spier Hotel is it. We’ll definitely be back!
We stayed at the Spier Hotel & Wine Farm in January 2026 and were immediately impressed by the expansive, beautifully maintained estate. The manicured lawns and lush gardens create a calm, spacious atmosphere that invites you to slow down and unwind. The interiors are tastefully designed, blending modern comfort with timeless elegance and great attention to detail. The farm-to-table cuisine was outstanding, featuring fresh, locally sourced ingredients and perfectly complementing the relaxed spirit of the estate. What truly sets the Spier Hotel apart, however, is its exceptional staff. The team is remarkably attentive, genuinely warm, and effortlessly professional. Their dedication to service ensures that guests feel welcomed, cared for, and valued at every moment.
