What an amazing place. Great location, with stunning views. No fuss or frills.... Really good service, friendly people and great food & wine! What more could you ask for! Kids loved the big lawn area. Will definitely visit again and recommend it to others.

We had a fantastic experience at Middelvlei Wine Estate! The braai lunch was absolutely delicious – perfectly cooked with generous portions and paired beautifully with their wines. The setting made it even more special: a stunning estate, relaxed atmosphere, and lovely views on a gorgeous day. Service was warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Highly recommend Middelvlei for anyone wanting an authentic Stellenbosch wine and food experience.

We visited as a group of 30 with a tour. To start, they served bread with butter and two different types of sauces. Then came Greek salad, potato salad, and a cinnamon-sugar fried dough, followed by a toast with onions, cheese, and tomatoes. For the main course, they served sausage, chicken, and red meat. Finally, we had a local dessert served with ice cream, along with tea and coffee. The coffee had a unique, spiced flavor — quite different but interesting! Everything was delicious, although the red meat was a bit overcooked, which made it hard to cut and chew. The surroundings were absolutely stunning — lush greenery everywhere! We were truly amazed. They also have a small farm with goats, turtles, and chickens, which added to the charm of the place.

Wonderful wine farm with a working farm full of animals , making it great for families with little kids. The place is full of dogs, donkeys, goats , cows, pigs , tortoise’s , ducks and chickens . The wine is wonderful and the lunch and tasting deal of home cooked food gives u a real taste of local food. A great break from the posh wineries around town . Loved it!
