Excellent cocktails and a solid selection of craft beers. The beef snacks are genuinely good — bold flavours and generous portions. Service is attentive during quieter hours, but expect slower service when it’s packed. Go off-peak for the best experience. 🍸

This place is absolutely packed with atmosphere. Me and my wife tried the Mystery Whiskey of the month, along with a Cigar and Wague Bits. Nothing beats the warm, Jazz-Bar atmosphere in here. Could sit for hours at the bar watching the friendly and educated bartenders mix cocktales in their tuxedos. If you're in Stellies, Blix is a must.

I recently visited the Blix Tavern bar in Stellenbosch after reading an article about how they are the smallest bar currently in Stellenbosch. They have an outside seating area looking out on the sidewalk and the busy Dorp street, as well as an inside seating area for days when the weather isn't that great. This quaint little bar has everything from their own craft beers (Lager, Weiss, IPA) to cocktails and whiskies. They even had some cigars if you are so inclined. We grabbed a couple of drinks, but could see this bar is aimed towards the more mature markets, as the prices are a bit higher than the average student can afford. Overall, we enjoyed the experience, but would recommend that the staff looked a bit "happier" to work there and to also be a bit more attentive.
