Bikes 'n Wines Stellenbosch is a guided bicycle tour operator in Stellenbosch based out of Skilpadvlei Farm on Polkadraai Road. We lead small-group cycling excursions through local vineyards and historic areas, combining pedal time with winery visits and tastings. Our routes accommodate riders across different fitness levels by offering both standard pedal bicycles and e-bikes. Along the journey, our guides provide local history and insight into the regional wine industry as we ride between estate tasting rooms. In addition to day outings around Stellenbosch, we arrange transfer transportation between Cape Town and local accommodations, as well as rides to dinners and shopping in town.

They were exceptional and very accommodating! We used them 3 days . They picked us up in Cape Town and drove us to our accommodations in Stellenbosch. They came back later to take us to dinner. The next 2 days they took us into the town of Stellenbosch for shopping and to some great wineries, then they took us back to the Cape Town airport. The drivers were professional and they were good drivers. We always felt safe. Rudi was very knowledgeable about the town and the wines. Highly recommend

Kyle M was a fabulous guide! He was incredibly knowledgeable about the wine industry and the history of the country. The scenery was beautiful and wine tasting was really fun. Highly recommended!

Walter was amazing! We loved this tour. It was about 8-9 miles of biking on e-bikes and we learned about both some history of South Africa and wine.

The winery cycling tour was an amazing experience. The guide, Eon, was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and experienced, providing fascinating explanations at every stop along the way. During our breaks at the wineries, we were able to enjoy tastings of some excellent wines. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t great, so I’m looking forward to joining again next time with better conditions.

We had an amazing experience with Bikes & Wines in Stellenbosch! Our guide took us on a beautiful 13 km bike tour through the vineyards, sharing fascinating history and stories about several wine estates and farms along the way. We enjoyed two lovely wine-tasting stops, each offering delicious wines and stunning scenery. The day was quite hot, and the last 5 km back were uphill and definitely challenging, but we managed — and it felt so rewarding! Returning to a table full of “wine and snack treats” was the perfect ending to the tour. Overall, a fantastic combination of adventure, learning, and wine. Highly recommended!
