A Decade of Excellence at Wolfgat Lunch at Wolfgat was far more than a meal. It was one of the most memorable dining experiences we have ever had. Over the course of three unhurried hours, we enjoyed a beautifully curated seven-course menu that felt like a celebration of the restaurant's first ten years. Each dish appeared to represent the very best of what Wolfgat has created over the past decade, showcasing its unique identity and deep connection to the West Coast. What impressed us most was the honesty of the food. There were no unnecessary additions, no heavy sauces, and no attempts to disguise ingredients. Instead, every dish allowed the natural flavours to shine. The kitchen demonstrates remarkable restraint and confidence, letting exceptional local ingredients speak for themselves. The connection to the surrounding landscape was evident throughout the menu. Local and foraged products from the region were transformed into dishes that felt authentic, thoughtful, and deeply rooted in place. Every course told a story about the area and its rich culinary heritage. It is easy to understand why Wolfgat has received such recognition from Eat Out. The experience was refined without being pretentious, creative without losing sight of simplicity, and memorable from start to finish. Wolfgat is not simply a restaurant. It is a destination that captures the spirit, flavours, and beauty of the West Coast in a truly unique way. Highly recommended, and without doubt one of the highlights of our time in South Africa.

A very unique dining occasion that is a hidden gem. Kobus’ philosophy of sourcing local ingredients is complemented by his creativity to produce unique and wonderful dishes. The tranquility of the location and the simplicity of the decor enhances the overall experience.

Superb! The food was excellent, really well balanced, with tastes and ingredients I have never tried before. I would happily repeat tomorrow. The service was high level while still maintaining a really relaxed atmosphere. The setting is beautiful. Well worth the two hour drive from Cape Town.
