What an estate. Security was good at the entrance. All roads were clean and well kept. Everything is there. No expense spared. Well worth the trip
The houses are absolutely stunning. Some different than others yet still not standing out like a black eye. Great place for kids and safety is outstanding. Lots of activieties to do such as padel, horse back riding, golf, tennis, swimming and more.
A stunning estate, but very much family orientated, retirees etc. Not so much a vibrant haven for young professionals. It appears more of a settled vibe. On Monday nights in particular, nothing is open. Even when open, closing times are relatively early. The inability to do short-term lets really hampers the estate as an attraction, as well as a potential investment. If you wanted to visit family or friends, but not impose yourself of them and stay nearby or elsewhere, the only option is Pearl Valley, albeit only 'next door', it's still 6 or 7km away, so it's a bit restrictive in that regard. The Avenues and some features are quite stunning as are the mountain views either side.
