I would not recommend this establishment. While I completely understand that we had not reserved a table ahead of an extremely anticipated rugby match, the service we received was unacceptable. We arrived about 15 minutes before kickoff and asked if seating was available for two. Staff pointed out two available six-seater tables but refused to seat us because of our small party size—a policy delivered with unnecessary arrogance by two young team members. When I brought this to the manager on duty, his attitude was just as dismissive. He simply brushed us off, stating they had been taking bookings for the last two weeks. We were more than willing to share a table with other patrons, hoping the management would be accommodating. Unfortunately, this pub would rather turn paying customers away in the hope of filling tables with larger groups.
