See rescued farm animals and enjoy a coffee or wine in Franschhoek
Toddlers had a great time. The fresh veg provided for animal feeding is cut really well to aid the kids doing the feeding easily and they provide lots! Toddlers got to interact with goats, sheep, huge pigs, a cow, some chickens and saw a donkey and ducks in the paddock. The treatment of the animals seems great too. Didn’t try the food or wine, coffee was good. Would definitely go back.
We had a wonderful experience at the Farm Sanctuary in Franschhoek, visiting twice during our week-long stay in Cape Town. The property is beautiful and incredibly peaceful, offering a perfect atmosphere to relax, feed the animals, or enjoy a wine tasting in the main barn. It is clear that the animals are well-cared for, and the staff is both friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the visit so much that we ended up purchasing three small Pigcasso paintings. Our only regret was not being able to stay overnight—the rooms were fully booked for weeks, so be sure to plan well in advance if you're looking to stay on-site.
A beautiful place with beautiful scenery and animals who are so well taken care of and loved. I would recommend it 100% to anyone who loves animals and wants to support a sanctuary where it's clear your money goes to the animals. Service was also amazing and everyone answered any questions with a smile
Went previously for a day trip and loved it had to go back for an overnight stay. We stayed in the Unique Farm Stay which was amazing. Roy is such a fantastic host and runs the farm Sanctuary so well. Accommodation is rustic but that is kind of what you expect for a container. Loved ever moment of it . If I had to have any down sides it is just the bed which is a mattress on the floor if they consider adding a small base would help dramatically luckily the bench seat is big enough to sleep on as mid way through the night I moved to that. Other than that can't wait to go back and try either the cube or barn experience.
