About

Black Oystercatcher Wines is a family-run winery in Bredasdorp producing cool-climate wines on the Agulhas Plain. We pour tastings, including comparative flights, paired with seasonal antipasto and cheese platters served on our veranda. Beyond our tasting room, our farm shop carries local crafts, leather bags, crockery, and pantry goods. We also host monthly wood-fired pizza days out on the stoep. Guests can stay overnight in our semi-equipped self-catering cottages overlooking the gardens and Nuwejaars wetlands, with direct access to local walking, birding, and cycling trails.

Black oystercatcher is a beautiful wine farm with the most amazing platters to enjoy with your wines! They also have a little shop where you are able to purchase some delicious gifts. Some of the wines were not my favourite but the experience was 5 star!

We had a lovely cheese platter that was special. But sadly it was the only food we could have. We drove over an hour looking forward to this place and were sad not to have had more variety. But the platter was lovely and generous none the less.
