Giovanni Rosso is a beautiful place with a very clear philosophy behind everything they do. The tasting experience feels honest, focused, and deeply connected to terroir rather than excessive winemaking intervention. The quality for the price is honestly excellent, especially considering the level of wines they produce. It’s a great example of how to showcase the identity of each vineyard and the character of Serralunga in a transparent and elegant way. The wines feel precise, energetic, and authentic, with a strong sense of place. The visit and tasting are absolutely worth it. Priscilla’s hospitality was exceptional and made the whole experience feel even warmer and more welcoming. Definitely one of the wineries that best represents the idea of terroir-driven Barolo.

We visited today for a wine tasting and vineyard tour and spent around two hours here, which was time very well spent. Our guide, Priscilla, was excellent—extremely knowledgeable, engaging, and very happy to answer our many questions in depth. Her passion for the region, the vineyards, and the winemaking process really came through. The vineyard tour itself was a real highlight. Getting out amongst the vines and hearing about the terroir, growing conditions, and production methods added so much to the tasting experience and made it feel far more personal and authentic. The wines themselves were good, though personally I was expecting a little more depth, complexity, and structure from some of the wines we tasted. Of course, taste is subjective, and others may well feel differently—it simply didn’t quite align with my personal preferences. That said, the overall experience was excellent, professionally delivered, and thoroughly enjoyable. Priscilla absolutely made the visit memorable, and I’d happily recommend the tour experience.

We did a wine tasting here and it was incredible. Gabriela taught us so much about Italian wines, regions, grapes and making. We were able to taste from the barrels! The surrounding scenery is beautiful. Gabriela was excellent and even gave us recommendations of where to go for views and lunch.

5-start visit with Daniele who not only tells the winery story but also showed us the cru vineyards in Serralunga: the feminine Ceretta, the masculine Serra and the beloved Vigna Rionda. We then had a great tasting experience to see both the potential wines in the cellar but those finished wines in the bottle, they're like humans, full of characters and liveness. Beautiful town, great winery, excellent vineyards and magnificent people!
