Historic wine cellars and guided tastings in Marsala
Had an amazing wine and 6-course food pairing tasting with Nicole during our visit. She was so knowledgeable and friendly that she made our whole experience memorable. The cellar and grounds were beautiful but the wine and tasting are definitely one of a kind. This is a must do while in Marsala, ask for Nicole if possible. She was great 😊
We had a fantastic visit to the winery in July this year. We’d had issues booking online but a phone call to the winery solved everything and the staff were so accommodating and welcoming. We’d booked onto the brunch/wine pairings which combined local dishes and flavours with 4 different wines from one of the family’s vineyards. Our initial tour was lead by Nicole who was funny and so informative, also answering all questions that were posed to her. Our tasting was lead by Giulia T, who made it fun and accessible which was great for us. If you’re in the Marsala area, and are looking for a winery to visit and don’t have a car, this is so easy to get to using the train then a short walk.
This is a stunning place, with amazing wines and amazing staff! There were 10 of us and we all loved our visit. One of us was gluten intolerant, but they took excellent care of her. Special thanks to Julia for her knowledge, intelligence, humor, politeness, sensitivity, and tact. We are in awe of her, and she deserves encouragement; she's an incredible worker! Thank you, we'll be back!
Nice winery to enjoy a curated session of tour of cellars and understanding the history of Donnafugata family and their association and partnership with fashion house Dolce Gabbana! We did a tasting with was Brunch Siciliano .. 4 beautiful wines with 4 types of Sicilian food ! Very well done with clear explanations and time to enjoy and savour the food ! Happy to experience this activity !
Wonderful winery and wonderful guide Julia, who explains everything in detail and seems to know everything about Sicilian wine. Thank you very much for the fantastic program. My wife and I were absolutely delighted with the tasting. I want to note that the tastings are different and at different times, so you need to book them in advance on the website.
