Refined stays in an 11th-century castle
We had a wonderful tour and wine tasting at Castello di Meleto. Although we weren’t staying at the castle, we were able to tour it, learn about its rich history, and hear the stories behind the wines. Agatha was an exceptional guide: knowledgeable, engaging, and genuinely personable. She made the experience especially memorable and definitely made us want to return.
We visited Castello di Meleto on a hike through Chianti and had a wonderful experience thanks to our tour guide, Gabriele. First off, the vineyward, castle, and grounds are absolutely stunning! Gabriele was extremely knowledgeable about the vineyard and its rich history and provided a detailed tour of the castle with a very lighthearted and comical narrative. We thoroughly enjoyed the wine tasting accompanied by a detailed overview from Gabriele. The standout for me was the Vinsanto, which is absolutely incredible! Highly recommend a visit to the vineyard!
We didn't stay at the castle, but we did do a tour of the castle and winery, complete with a wine tasting at the end. The tour was fabulous. The guide was so knowledgeable, both about the castle with its rich history as well as the wines. The guide was very personable, funny and a joy to spend time with. The tasting was wonderful. Each of the 3 wines was explained in detail. And the wine was wonderful. It was a great tour and well worth the price of admission.

Castelo di Mileto is truly one of those rare places that feels like it belongs in a fairytale. Destination weddings can often feel complex, but with the right planning team in place, this experience was the opposite: calm, organized, and beautifully executed. The wedding planner ensured that every detail flowed with purpose, allowing the couple and their families to be fully present throughout the celebration. As a photography and videography team based in New Jersey, it was an honor to be trusted to travel and document such an important day for a family we’ve worked with over the years. There’s something incredibly meaningful about being part of a journey like that—from local celebrations to an international wedding in a setting like this. Castelo di Mileto doesn’t just provide a venue, it offers a stage for moments that feel timeless. The light, the textures, the atmosphere… everything contributes to a setting that translates beautifully into both photographs and memories.
