I had a wonderful opportunity to taste the wines & get a tour of 3rd generation run Masottina. This is an award winnning winery located in the Eastern side of micro climate of the Valdobbiadenne DOCG region. Their RDO Prosecco blows you out of your mind. It was on the Top 100 Wines of Wine Spectator. The Masottina Prosecco was also listed as one of the Top Best Buys for Wine Enthusiast magazine. While their bubbles are fantastic, I found their still wines made in Super Tuscan or Bordeaux style to be exceptional. The skill & the love of the wine maker shows. The Montesco 2016 poured well. The balance, depth & richness was beyond splendid. Cheers! 🍷🍾🥂
