We preserve the site where Portuguese scientist Father Himalaya pioneered solar energy, building a five-meter concentrating solar furnace with 260 polished metal mirrors in 1900. Our site retains the circular track and platform remains from the original installation. We also offer group and school visits by reservation.

Operated by a volunteer association, we welcome group and school visits by reservation. The site was reconstructed by the Association les AMIS DU PADRE HIMALAYA.
