Fantastic experience tasting some of the finest Champagne in France. (Not as well known as the large houses but better quality and better value!)
Working cellar tours and guided blending tastings
Champagne Philipponnat is a winery in Aÿ-Champagne showcasing artisanal Champagne production rooted in Pinot Noir. We welcome visitors for guided tours that walk through our active working cellars and surrounding vineyards. During visits, our team leads focused tastings across multiple cuvées and styles, including dedicated blending workshops where guests taste still wines prior to their second fermentation.

An unforgettable visit at Champagne Philipponnat. My wife and I did the assemblage experience, and it was honestly one of the most unique Champagne tasting we’ve ever had! Maxime took care of us and honestly he was great. Super friendly, really knows his stuff, and he explains everything in a way that’s easy to follow (not boring or too technical). We did the assemblage experience, so we actually got to taste the still wines before the second fermentation and then learn how champagne is made and why the blending matters so much. It felt really special, like you’re seeing the “behind the scenes” part that most people never get. And the cellars are beautiful, seriously. The whole place has that classic Champagne vibe and the champagne they offered us was just delicious. If you’re in the Champagne area, this is 100% worth doing. Big thanks again to Maxime, we’ll remember this one for a long time.
Great Tour with Theo! We had a lovely strol through the vineyard winery and cellar with a tasting in the end. It was a really nice intimate environment. I would recommend to go there.
The best champagne house tour we’ve ever experienced (of quite a few!). Just our group of 4, very well organised. Our host (head of hospitality) spoke English perfectly, answered any of our questions in detail and presented all the history of the brand in an interesting way. The cellars are fascinating, still being used and worked. We tasted 4 different styles - amazing, even the NV’s. Easy to book in advance on line (not a walk-in sort of place)
If you want to see Champagne-making from start to finish, head here! The tour starts with a walk to (and through) the vines, with information on how everything from the slope of the vineyards to the location affects the wine. After seeing the presses, then you’re taken to the caves to see where the wine ages. It ends with a tasting of Philipponnat champagne, ending the tour on a high note!
