Vineyard estate with tastings and a locavore restaurant
I visited here 2 months ago for outdoor tasting. Our tour guide was excellent and friendly! They accepted ppl who made a reservation only so the winery itself felt quite, cozy and very private compare to other wineries full of ppl. I worried about the heat during sitting outside but the partio was perfectly under the shadow and it was comfortable and well prepared.
Thank you, Mission Hill, for such an incredible experience. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the beautiful grounds, the atmosphere, and the attention to every detail. The property itself is absolutely stunning, and the tour made our visit even more memorable. We were also very lucky to have the opportunity to visit one of the private rooms, which felt like a special addition to the entire experience. A huge thank-you to Charlie, our guide. He was knowledgeable, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about the winery. He took the time to show us around the property and explain the history, philosophy, and story of the family behind Mission Hill. We also learned a lot about the different types of wine, how they are produced and stored, and what makes each one unique. Thanks to Charlie’s recommendations and explanations, we even found our new favourite wine and, of course, purchased a bottle to take home with us. This is definitely a place worth visiting. The grounds are breathtaking, the experience is thoughtfully organized, and the entire visit felt very special. We will absolutely return again. Thank you for the wonderful memories!
5 stars just for the property and views! We probably should have researched before arriving... it was definitely on the expensive side. But it was an experience! Our server was decently knowledgeable on the wines. Super friendly. And THANK YOU for the free cracker and cheese... the cheese was soooo good. The wines were fantastic and I appreciated that we could choose which group of wines we each wanted to try. We couldn't do a full estate tour, but they took us to the cellar... which was super cool! I'd definitely recommend visiting the winery, but br prepared to send a little more money.
There was SO much to enjoy about our experience at Mission Hill. First off, Anna is tremendous and it you're able to request her, you must! She's extremely knowledgeable of their product, the history of the vineyard, and the owner, Anthony, and his legacy. And there is an incredible amount of meaning and thought put into the design of the estate, related to the family members of the owner, etc. which can be found in the architecture, art and sculpture, names of the wines, the list goes on! We greatly appreciated the cellar tour; it was like something out of a fairytale, honestly breath taking. Following a delicious tasting, we enjoyed charcuterie near the terrace and listened to the bell tower chime.
OMG!!! That was AMAZING experience!!! Didn’t expect any welcome drinks and that was such a nice touch!!! Loved our guides Shaya and Haruto were above and beyond!!! The wines we’ve tasted were incredible and the food pairing was WOW too! Normally you get a couple of crackers to clean your palate-here it was a beautiful charcuterie! Loved it! And loved the pairing!!! Boutique is great for shopping, and it will satisfy every customer for any budget!!! 100 out of 10!!! Definitely will come back!!!
