First time visiting this stunning winery, and everything was exceptional from the breathtaking architectural design of the building to the exquisite wine flight featuring an outstanding selection of wines. Loved the views. The entire experience was wonderful. A truly memorable visit.

Our tasting experience at CheckMate Artisanal Winery was exceptional from start to finish. We enjoyed a Chardonnay tasting, and the team went above and beyond by surprising us with a bonus pour from an earlier vintage. It was such a thoughtful touch and gave us a great appreciation for how beautifully these wines evolve over time. The Chardonnay lineup offers something for every palate, from elegant single-vineyard expressions to expertly crafted blends. It was fascinating to experience the unique character of each wine and compare the different styles side by side. We loved the experience so much that we ended up taking home The Queen Taken. It was an easy decision after such an enjoyable tasting. The service was warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the wines they were sharing. Combined with the beautiful setting and attention to detail, CheckMate delivered a truly memorable experience. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates world-class Chardonnay in the Okanagan.
Absolutely brilliant winery. We are so glad we ended our stay in Osoyoos with a visit to Checkmate. Jackson was our person, and he treated us extremely well. We had great chats with him and he really helped us with our decisions on the wine. In the end we purchased six bottles of wine, including a great collection of chardonnays and merlots. The presentation of the six bottles in the gift box were exemplary, and well worth the cost. Thank you to Checkmate, and most of all Jackson, for a wonderful afternoon!
The Grandmasters Tasting Experience: Jackson did an outstanding job of presenting Checkmate wines in a personable and engaging fashion. He also toured us through the property and winery before seating us at the best patio in the Okanagan. The wines, charcuterie and views were amazing. We also appreciated the time taken by membership manager James to make us feel welcome and set up the rest of our VIP day touring two other premium wineries in Oliver. It was a five-star experience. We'll be back for more.
